To be responsible for the general hygiene of the home.
To keep the cost of cleaning within the homes budget.
Ensure all domestic staff uphold a good quality of the life in the home.
To ensure adequate stock control within the home and adequate provisions are ordered for cleaning, laundry and care to minimize wastage.
To ensure a sound knowledge of COSHH, and to cascade information to the domestic team to ensure they are aware of all current legislation and regulations and are working to company policies.
To carry out infection control audits on a monthly basis.
Ensure that equipment is maintained and cleaned correctly.
To carry out audits with regard to all aspects of health & safety as detailed by the home manager.
To ensure the domestic team’s performance is monitored and a high quality of cleanliness and infection control is maintained
To be responsible for the domestic staff rotas, check their weekly working hours, and authorize with the administrator.
To undertake a weekly walk round with the home manager, to address any maintenance issues which may occur and liaise with the maintenance person to ensure good communication is maintained.
Attend any Mandatory training dates as required, to ensure your training is up to date for the completion of your duties.
Contribute to the safeguarding of adults by ensuring you know your role in relation to the companies Safeguarding Adults Policy. By using the company’s whistleblowing to inform the home management team of any concerns regarding abuse of our service users.
Any matters that arise that effect the service, efficiency and quality of our service must be reported directly to the home manager.
Be aware and adhere to the company policy and procedures relating to the Health and Safety at work act.
Give a professional, pleasant and polite impression of the company and home when greeting visitors to the home.
Any reasonable request to carry out all duties by the home manager to be undertaken in a timely manner.
