What you will do as a Support Worker:


We are looking for passionate and hardworking support workers to assist our service users to enjoy a fulfilling and meaningful life, participate within the community and develop their abilities. You will be promoting independence, choice and inclusion. Activities of support vary from meal planning, personal care, social visits, travel escort, the teaching of independent living skills, management of medication and other daily tasks, assisting with accessing community-based activities such as going to college, swimming, and other social and leisure activities.

About Us:

Glenholme Healthcare is a social care group with 30 years’ experience supporting young adults and adults with learning disabilities, complex needs and mental health conditions. We provide individualised care and support through our residential services, care homes, supported living schemes and via our outreach programmes. Requirements

What you will need:


You will have previous experience providing person-centred care within Health and Social Care, to individuals with learning disabilities and behaviour that challenges. You will also have experience and have knowledge of de-escalation methods. You will have a fun and inviting nature which will allow the service user to feel relaxed and safe but also be able to safely control a challenging situation with excellent communication.

You need to have good communication skills to allow you to build a professional relationship in being a friend as well as their Carer.

We provide training but previous experience working in a similar role is essential.

Also, in line with social distancing measures, all interviews are conducted via video interview and we are offering an e-learning induction training course.
